The COVID-19 virus, aka Coronavirus, is on everyone's minds. We understand your concerns and realize there is a need for all of us to take extra precautions during this uncertain time.
Maintaining a safe workplace is one of our priorities, and we want to encourage all employees, clients, and anyone who visits our centers to take additional precautions and adopt safe practices to prevent illnesses from spreading.
The center for disease control and prevention (CDC) and the world health organization (WHO) have developed practical recommendations that can reduce the spread of infectious diseases in the workplace:
- Stay home if you are sick.
- Wash your hands frequently, with warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
- Cover your mouth with tissue whenever you sneeze, and discard used tissue.
- Avoid touching your face and eyes.
- Avoid contact with people who are sick with respiratory infection symptoms.
Taking additional precautions
- Empereon-Constar will provide alcohol-based hand sanitizer throughout each center and in common areas.
- Disinfecting wipes will also be provided to clean and disinfect surfaces such as keyboards and telephones.
- Cleaning crews have been instructed to disinfect doorknobs, vending machines, and public spaces regularly.
What to do if you feel ill:
If you are experiencing symptoms that include fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headaches, or chills, please stay home. The CDC recommends you stay home for at least 24 hours after recovering from a fever. Please note: if you report to work ill, you will be sent home in accordance with these health guidelines.
